CC Cream Review and Comparison

Hi everyone!
I decided to review and compare the two cc creams that I own! I have used bb creams since high school, but cc creams is something that is fairly new to the beauty community, or to my life, and I wanted to compare and contrast the ones that I have purchased.

The first one is, The Face Shop Aura Color Control CC Cream in 02. I mentioned this product in my "recent beauty gets" post. Like I said before, it's a good cc cream, but when compared to Lioele, it's pretty average.

As you can see, it looks amazing. It literally blurs my imperfections, hides my acne scars, and brightens my skin after just one layer of the product... But after wearing it around for a few hours, my skin looked awful. It was blotchy, oily, and looked so cakey. As much as I loooove the coverage of this cc cream in pictures, it just does not look good in person.

Next is this Lioele Cera V CC Cream. This was the first cc cream I ever bought and it was worth it! I purchased it for 24$ on ebay, but it is available at cosmetic-love for 19$. (So is The Face Shop one.for 30$! Yikes)

Super brightening! This product is simply wonderful *_* It's so silky and smooth and easy to apply. It might not have maximum full coverage with one layer, but it is definitely buildable without looking cakey. Also, this formula pumps out white, then changes according to your skin color.

Overall these cc creams are both superb. They feel light, have full coverage, brighten the complexion, and match my skin tone. Also, both of them smell wonderful and are pretty compact.

However, I would only repurchase the Lioele because it is more suitable for my oily skin and it's what looks good on me. I have a feeling the Aura CC Cream looked awful because of my oily skin.

Thanks for reading!

My Lifestyle

I just wanted to give my blog an update since I've neglected it yet I probably won't write on here daily or anything like that. There's only a few weeks of classes left and so I have tests, research projects and exams due by I am a little busy and super tense. ( ゚д゚)

However, aside from explaining myself, I wanted to talk about something...I am going to integrate a huge part of my life into this blog. I originally had intended to keep it casual with makeup reviews, fashion and things like that, but I can't ignore the fact that I am a mega fitness junky.

I have been on a weightloss journey since February 1st, 2015 and I have successfully lost 33 pounds. I have lost this weight by eating healthy, becoming a vegetarian, getting a gym membership and exercising on a daily basis. I also count calories with the app: My Fitness Pal. I have my Fitbit Charge synced up to it too, so it's really nice.

And another thing, I have been cheating on MakeupLatte with a separate blog on tumblr here. That blog is my 100% fitness blog or "fitblr" where I post frequently on it with pictures, progress, updates, tips, recipes, and food/website reviews. Please feel free to explore it and hopefully it motivates everyone into entering the fitness world. (´・ω・`)

Here are some of my beginning stats of when I was extremely unhealthy. I ate out about 5 times a week, frequently had midnight drives to Wienerschnitzel or Sonic to gorge myself of ice cream, ate canned, boxed and frozen foods, drank lots of alcohol, could not run to save my life, got weezy fast and stayed up until 3 am. (Now I stay up until 1 am thank you very much).

Height: 5'0 1/2 (153 cm)
Weight: 148 lbs (67.1 kg)
Waist: 31 in (79 cm)
Jean Size: 11 (29)

And now these are my stats as of May 8th, 2015

Height: 5'0 1/2 (153 cm)
Weight: 117 lbs (53 kg)
Waist: 27.5 in (69 cm)
Jean Size: 4/5 (27)

Yes, quit a difference. I have never in my life been this thin before. I grew up in a overweight home, therefore chub is all I've ever known. So when I moved out of my parent's house I started a 'new' life, in more ways than one.

However, I still haven't quite adjusted to such a dramatic weight difference. Whenever I go to a clothing store, I always try on sizes M-L and I'm always surprised/annoyed that they don't fit and I have to go back and get XS-S. Also, when I'm lying down my bones stick out a lot and it always feels so strange. (*゚ー゚*) AND, it's a bit difficult to shave my armpits because they are hollow. Hehe.

Anyways, here are some of my pictures!

These first pics are of me during my Senior year of high school. I was going through family things and gorged myself in food. On top of that I partied all the time and stayed up super late! ~I had that senior girl swag-NOT~  Even my feet were fat and my posture was terrible!

Finally, these are my before and after/during pictures! I mean my tatas have deflated, but it's all good.

Recently I went shopping for new workout clothes and I headed into Aeropostale and what do I discover? That I am a size 4 in jeans!(I used to be a 6) I wanted to buy their 4s(short) jeggings....but unfortunately I bought a lot of their workout bottoms instead and there went my money, oh well~

These are the amazingly comfortable jeans *_* Please ignore my messy hair and sloppy attire lol. I only had one class that day so I was bumming it.

Some sweatpants I tried on. They were too low rise for me so I didn't end up buying these. But still so comfy and cute!

Anyways as you can see, my body has changed a lot from a few months ago. And even though I am not were I want to be, physically, I am so stable and at peace with myself emotionally and mentally. Isn't that what being healthy is all about. ✿  Hehe, remember to visit my tumblr blog to check out my routine and if you want any advice, tips, help or just want an ear, feel free to message me here or there, you can do it anonymously on tumblr ;)
Have great day!

Spring Break

Hi everyone! School has started for me again and I honestly didn't do much during my spring break. not because I wasn't able to...but because my wonderful history teacher told us that we were going to have our midterm after break instead of before?? So I was stuck studying 24/7 during my break which was so sad.

On Monday I went out with my mom. It was nice, I rarely see her anymore these days. We went to some stores and she was so nice and bought me some things.
Then on Wednesday I went to have lunch at Panera with a friend. She helped me study for my history midterm :) This is what I wore. It was pretty chilly and windy, so I dressed very casually.

V Neck: Target, Cardigan: Forever 21, Leggings: Forever 21, Boots: JCPenny, Scarf: Local Boutique
Fast forward all the way to Saturday...hehe I went out with my whole family and had breakfast :)

Shirt: Forever 21, Leggings: Forever 21, Boots: Sears, Scarf: Aeropostale?

The weather was aweful all week long. And so of course I dressed pretty much the same lol! I'm usually a very lazy person when it comes to dressing up, so I stick to leggings and a shirt.

V Neck: Forever 21, Leggings: Forever 21, Flats: Payless, Scarf: Boutique

So that's it to my Spring Break. Nothing too interesting. Also, I will start posting my ootd/ootw's on here :) I think they will be so much fun to look back on!

Recent Beauty Gets!

I recently got a package from ebay with some goodies I purchased *_* I also visited my local drugstore to pick up some things I needed, (q-tips etc), but of course some things caught my eye.

On ebay, I bought this CC cream based on the recommendation of some adorable youtubers such as ahyedizzy and teddybearkitties! This is The Face Shop Aura CC Cream in 02.
Its a really great cc cream with a compact and unique design. It comes with an air puff that helps the cream go on smoothly and flawlessly. Also because it's a thin sponge, it doesn't absorb much product (waste less)!
In order to dispense the product, there's a button on the front that you press, and the cc cream comes out through a tiny hole. Then you can apply it with your fingers or the puff it comes with!

For reference I'm an nc20-25 and this product was a tiny bit light on me, but with powder and blush it didn't look bad. However, in pictures I looked like I was wearing a mask.....but I'll continue using it solely on the amazing full coverage it provides! Maybe I'll review it later in depth?

The next items I purchased were these hair products. There the Etude House Silk Scarf Hair Essence and Hair Mist. This line is meant for dry, damaged hair. I use the essence when my hair is damp, then after blow drying and straightening, I use the mist.

I wouldn't say that these products have restored my hair, however they do smell good and make my hair last smoother and less frizzy than if I didn't use them. But I don't think I would repurchase.

I prefer this product, the Essential Damage Care overnight Treatment Milk. This product is sooo amazing. It's a light weight milky serum that can be used as a mask or a leave in conditioner. It protects the hair from hot tools and leaves it soft and tangle free. I highly recommend this along with the deep conditioner of the same line! (Ive used it up, other wise I would have added a picture and reviewed it T_T)

When I was in the q-tip and cotton ball aisle at the store, I saw this! I have never seen this before, but it was the last one so I figured it was popular? It's the Airspun Loose Face Powder. First off, it smells amazing, like clean,  rich old And it's so delicate and fine and makes me feel super fancy. However, I don't know if it's because I used too much because it clumped up on my face and made me look extremely cakey. Ive only used it twice and it happened both times. Next time, I'll try applying it lightly and see how that goes.

Lastly, I got this Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme foundation. It was on sale, and I think it's being discontinued or something? I'm not sure, but I liked it. It's light, airy and has decent coverage. I also have oily skin, and this held up for a long time, the color is a perfect match as well.

Anyways, that hat is all! Thank you for reading :) Have a groovy day~
